Framing Agnes Movie Screening (North Hollywood)

  • Laemmle Noho, North Hollywood (map)

We are excited to offer our Brave Trails campers, families, and staff an opportunity to attend a film screening for the new film Framing Agnes, followed by a Q&A with director Chase Joynt! This is an in person event in the North Hollywood area. Come join us to watch a film exploring gender affirming healthcare in the 1960s starring an entirely transgender cast. We hope to see you there!

Movie Synopsis: Follow the story of Agnes, a transgender woman who participated in a gender health study at UCLA in the 1960s to get gender affirming healthcare. This film uses both fiction and nonfiction storytelling, with a cast of entirely transgender actors, to explore Agnes and other transgender histories of this time. For further details, please watch the trailer here: https://youtu.be/DYnzUodIl14

Rating: Unrated, but determined appropriate for tweens and teenagers. Content warning for discussions of heavier topics, such as the lack of accessible transgender healthcare and isolation.
