CAMP COVID TESTING INFO & STEPS
SUMMER 2021
All campers, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, will be required to take our at-home COVID-19 test 3 days prior to the start of their camp session, as well as video chat with one of our testing doctors. Campers without a test result taken within 3 days of the start of camp will NOT be allowed on camp until they receive a test result.
Below is the INFORMATION you need to submit your test and RECEIVE your result on time. Please read it carefully!
STEP 1: Get your Test in the Mail
The camper's at-home COVID-19 test will be mailed to their address on file 7-10 days prior to their camp start date. Please hold on to it and wait until 3 days prior to camp to open the test. If you haven’t received your test and it’s less than 7 days until camp, please email coby@bravetrails.org
STEP 2: Make a video appointment
Make a video appointment with a doctor from Grapefruit testing according to the dates below. You will be video chatting with the doctor 3 days before camp as you administer your own mid-nasal COVID test. The doctor will walk you though how to do it and ask you some COVID-19 screening questions. You can also take the test before your call, be sure to carefully follow the instructions in the testing kit (it’s best to have someone help you). Most importantly, your test should be mailed by noon the day of your appointment.

STEP 3: Take your test and login to your video appointment
On the day of your video appointment, click the link below to connect with a doctor from Grapefruit.. A parent is required to be on this call with campers. The doctor will walk you though administering your at-home test and ask you some questions about exposure to COVID-19.
THE NEXT STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT: After your test and appointment are done, you will need to immediately drop your test off the shipping center (FedEx or UPS - check the packing envelope). All tests come with a same-day pre-paid return shipping envelope. If you do not ship the test the same day, you will risk not having your camper’s result in time for camp. Campers without a test result will not be allowed on campus until a test result is received.

STEP 4: Get your results
You and Camp Brave Trails will receive your test results by email once they have been received by the testing lab.
