At camp, our staff forms a close-knit community (referred to as the “unicorn crew”) united by one purpose: nurturing the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders. The members of the Brave Trails team exemplify dedication, optimism, energy, adaptability, patience, and a genuine warmth for their campers. Life at camp demands a solid understanding of boundaries and requires our staff to serve as role models whom our campers can look up to.

To be honest, it's demanding work, but it comes with incredible rewards. Staff should expect early mornings, long days, late nights, and rustic forest surroundings. Our most successful staff members aren't afraid to get a little dirty, exude boundless energy, possess a great sense of humor, and are willing to be a bit silly to bring smiles to campers' faces. They also excel at getting along with all types of personalities and have a genuine passion for working with teenagers.
